As an Adult Education Institution, CAE exists to provide learning to the Victorian community through a wide range of programs, services and works in partnership with the Box Hill Institute Group.

We deliver a range of accredited courses which help adults complete their secondary education, or begin or change their career directions.

We also deliver a great range of short-courses to enjoy in the heart of the Flinders Lane precinct of the CBD, ranging from making dumplings, to learning Spanish or even life drawing

The CAE has been in operation for over 60 years and has adapted to meet the continually changing needs of adult learners in Melbourne

It provides a comprehensive and supportive adult learning environment for individuals to achieve their vocational, personal and further study goals. Flexible learning options range from foundation skills to tertiary pathways in a dynamic learning precinct.

CAE is one of the largest providers of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). As an alternative to other forms of secondary schooling, CAE College offers Year 11 and Year 12 VCE in an ideal adult learning environment - without school bells and uniforms - taught by highly experienced and qualified teachers.

The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning VCAL

VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate that provides practical experience, as well as the opportunity to build on literacy, numeracy, work related and personal development skills important for life and work. VCAL is an ideal pathway into apprenticeships, further study or employment.
