Disability Liaison Service
Disability Liaison Services (DLS) provides support services to enrolled students with a disability or medical condition. The services provided by the DLS are free and confidential.
The DLS respect the student's right to privacy and confidentiality, however students must contact the DLS in order to receive appropriate support. It is the student's responsibility to make the Institute aware of his/her needs as soon as possible, preferably at the time of application.
The DLS have eligibility criteria that students must meet in order to receive support. Documentation supporting the student's condition is required. It may be in the form of a letter, report or assessment from a medical professional such as a doctor, psychologist or occupational therapist. The document should also be recent (i.e. no more than five years old) and needs to be signed and dated. It should also contain the outline of the disability and the implications for study.
