Off-campus students
Library Studies students
If you are an off-campus Library Studies student, you may have course related resources only sent to you through the mail. The loan period for most items for off-campus students is 3 weeks to allow for postage time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you return resources by the due date.
Postage out to you is paid by Box Hill Institute, but you are required to pay for postage back to the Library.
To avoid postage costs, students living in the Melbourne metropolitan area are welcome to visit the Library in person to return or borrow resources.
You may place holds through the catalogue or request resources from the Library by phone or email
Please direct requests to the Elgar Campus Library.
We will send the resources to you within 24 hours. If we can't (for example, if they are on loan), we will notify you.
Use the following address for returning resources:

Please contact Information Services Librarian, Simon Stockdale, on (03) 9286 9279 for more information.
Other students
Students studying courses other than Library Studies or Animal Studies will need to contact their own teaching centre regarding postal arrangements.
You may also find resources in local public libraries and other tertiary libraries through borrowing schemes, such as CAVAL (Victorian academic libraries).
