Context and conditions of assessment

This task is a set of 23 questions: a mix of short answer and true/false.

The questions are designed to collect evidence of your knowledge of  the Victorian Public Sector's Workplace Health & Safety requirements.

Resources are available within this unit on StudentWeb to assist you in completing this task. You may also need to  access to your organisation's WHS policies and procedures.

Where will this assessment take place Some of this task will be completed in the the classroom, during class time. The assessment may need to finished at home in your own time. 
How many attempts at assessment are permitted Two.  You will be notified by email (student email account) once the task has been assessed. It is your responsibility to log into StudentWeb to check the result and review the feedback, taking further action if required. If you are not yet satisfactory with your 2nd attempt, your assessor will discuss the options available to you.

If on campus, in the event of an emergency,  please follow the directions of your trainer and floor warden.  Please familiarise yourself with the emergency procedures in your building if on campus.

 Learners are to have access to a computer and internet connection.  If on campus, please bring a laptop.  If you do not have a laptop, please let your assessor know in advance. 

All students will have access to StudentWeb, containing the learning materials for this unit, and additional resources to assist in the completion of this task.  Students may also need to access their organisation's WHS (Also referred to as OHS in Victoria) policies and procedures.

If at any time during the learning and assessment process, your Trainer/Assessor considers that the safety of any person is at risk they will abort the session.

Reasonable Adjustment

Students identifying as having a disability may access reasonable adjustment to enable them to participate in training and assessment on the same basis as other students. Where a student anticipates that a result will be impacted by special circumstances such as ill health or bereavement, application can be made for special consideration. Assessment Review

If you believe that you have been assessed unfairly, you have the right to request an informal assessment review. When your assessment cover sheet is returned to you, you can request an informal review by filling in the section below and returning it to your assessor or the Operations Manager of your area. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can apply for a formal review of assessment on the application form located on the Box Hill Institute Website http://www.boxhill.edu.au/for-students/student-information/forms-and-downloads.
