Counselling for students at Box Hill Institute is free and confidential and is provided by registered psychologists (general and provisional) and social workers. Counselling with a psychologist or Social Worker offers a safe space to talk about any concerns (thoughts, feelings, experiences, behaviours) openly and without judgement with a professional who will assist you to sort through them and make positive changes.
It's important that students also contribute to creating a safe space by respecting yourself and others (as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct).
We offer in‑person counselling at our City, Box Hill and Lilydale campuses. Please note that availability at each location can vary depending on staffing, and at times an on‑site counsellor may not be available. Students are welcome to book at any campus, and online appointments via MS Teams are offered to provide flexible access. Please note that wait times for appointments can vary throughout the year and are subject to counsellor availability.
