This unit aims to extend the student’s theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning with young children. Students will analyse how young children develop skills in the use of ICTs and how ICTs can be used to complement teaching and learning in early childhood environments. Students will be supported to advance the children’s understanding of ICTs by introducing a new application of ICTs within the integrated program either in their own workplace, a simulated environment or during practicum placement.
