How to submit |

Task instructions
1. Review the provided resources on:
- Animal welfare and ethics
- Identifying dogs
- Hazards to animals
- Dogs, shelters, and compliance with the law
- Dog body language and behaviour
- Welfare Assessment Protocol for Shelter Dogs
- Fear, Anxiety, Stress, and Emotional State Spectrum and Scoring document
- The 2020 Five Domains Model for Animal Welfare Assessment and Monitoring
- Plus any additional resources you have located and found to be of use throughout your studies
3. When assigned a time during AMA Day(s) you are required to refer to Part A while completing Part B of Assessment Task 2 Canine Welfare Assessment template to make a final overall welfare evaluation, in relation to identifying survival-related factors and situation-related factors and the emotional state (FAS Score), and provide suggestions for improving animal welfare and quality of life while consulting with relevant stakeholder(s).
Case study scenario
The scenario will be dependent on canine participant within the classroom at the time. Your teacher may verbally discuss behaviours not able to be observed at the time, or that are relevant to history provided by the owner of the canine participant and not easily observed during the assigned time for individual students (ie toileting history, diet etc).
