- Being prepared for exams is essential. You are more likely to feel stressed and overwhelmed if you have not set aside the time to review your studies.
- Organise your notes and give priority to what is essential in the course.
- Share the preparation with others by having a study buddy for each of your subjects.
- Ask for help from your teacher if you don’t understand the material you must learn.
- Visualise what it would be like to succeed. Create detailed pictures in your mind of how you will successfully manage the exam situation.
- Seek information on the time, place and format of the exams and plan how you will get there.
- Maintaining some enjoyable activities during intense study periods can greatly improve the effectiveness of your study.
