As you may have seen in recent media coverage, the Victorian
TAFE Association has been in negotiations with the Australian Education Union
to update the Enterprise Agreement that applies to teachers in the TAFE sector.
During these negotiations, members of the Australian Education Union (AEU) voted in favour of taking industrial action. As a result, all Victorian TAFE teachers who are also AEU members are permitted to engage in protected industrial action.
We have been advised that industrial action will commence at Box Hill Institute commencing from 6am Monday 22 April 2024.
Unfortunately, this industrial action may impact the delivery of some classes, and action may include things like wearing insignia, slogans and/or other material concerning the AEU or delayed responses from teachers.
