Healthy Relationships

The foundation of a healthy relationship is respect and safety. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected in any relationship, whether it be with an intimate partner, family member, friend or coworker.

Gender-Based Violence

Gender-based violence is the act of violence towards any individual on the basis of gender. The people most commonly affected by gender-based violence are (cis and trans) women, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people. Gender-based violence includes, but is not limited to; sexually suggestive gestures or comments, intentional misgendering, intentional deadnaming, unwanted physical contact, gender stereotyping, discrimination, and gender inequality.

BHI is actively working to prevent gender-based violence and address gender inequality through the Respect and Equality at TAFE (RET) Project.
