Support For International Students
At Box Hill Institute, there is a designated International Student Wellbeing Officer who works within the Student Life team to support students with their wellbeing needs throughout their study. We also have an Academic Advisor who provides a broad range of help and support for your study issues. For more information about the support we offer international students, please watch the orientation video.

The resources listed below may be beneficial to international students who are seeking financial help, food banks, accommodation assistance, and COVID-related support. All of these services are free and available to student visa holders. Information regarding Health Insurance for all students who are members with BUPA is also included.

Farzad (Faz) Maghami |
Farzad (Faz) Maghami is an academic advisor who provides a broad range of help and support for study issues specifically for International and Higher Education students. He helps students with writing essays and reports, referencing, note taking, proof reading and more. Faz has degrees in engineering, digital communication and adult education and has been teaching in Melbourne since 1991. |

Nikki is the International Student Wellbeing Officer and primarily based at Elgar campus. She is passionate about supporting international students to thrive in their new environment. Nikki brings to the role her warm and caring approach along with specialist knowledge of the common issues faced by international students. |
