Set up Mobas and completing an assessment
Instructions: Select each tab to learn how to set up the Mobas application and complete complete your assessment on your mobile device.
Adding Mobas to your mobile device |
Open the Mobas web application: http://studentweb.bhtafe.edu.au/hosted/mobasapp. Add website to your home screen by following the instructions below. Android Instructions (you may ask your teacher for assistance if required)
Apple Instructions (you may ask your teacher for assistance if required)

Select app on mobile device and log in |
Select the ‘Mobas’ application icon on your device Login to the application using your StudentWeb credentials |
Access to Mobas assessment/s |
Next to each unit title will be a number which indicates how many “Mobas” assessments need to be completed for that unit. Select the unit to access the Mobas assessment. |
List of assessments per unit | A list of assessments will be shown per unit.
Select each assessment that you would like to complete e.g. “Assessment task 3: Workplace observation” |
Complete all assessment requirements |
Read and complete all assessment instructions. Select "View Assignment Description" to read more about the assessment details. Complete text fields, journal entries, including uploading or taking photos or videos for evidence as per the assessment instructions. Note: Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your mobile. For video assessments you will be required to use your mobile data. 5. You also have the ability to select complete against each task - this is for your own progress tracking. 6. Once you have completed the task you can preview your submission or delete your entry to start again. |
Submitting a Mobas assessment | Once you have completed all assessment requirements select "Preview submission" Ensure you tick the box that this is your own work. Select Submit assessment. You will now need to wait until your teacher grades your assessment in StudentWeb. Your workplace supervisor may also be required to signoff your assessment before your teacher can provide you will a grade. Check your grades by logging into StudentWeb. |
