Already enrolled in school and have started their apprenticeship.

Current driver’s license.

Remuneration will be based on the award for the industry.

About the Job 

You will manage all aspects of food delivery to all clients, during their stay at Galiamble, the Men's Residential Rehabilitation Centre in St Kilda. 

This includes providing high quality and nutritious meals in a safe and hygienic environment, whilst also catering to individual dietary and cultural requirements. Your typical day will include planning and preparing meals within the budget, reviewing menus and discussing client feedback on meals provided as the women work towards their goals of rehabilitation.

About You 

  • Experience as a cook and/or a relevant qualification (eg. cookery, food preparation, catering etc)
  • Passion for producing quality, wholesome and satisfying food
  • Ability to provide varied and nutritional menus and knowledge of kitchen maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of indigenous history and/or culture and commitment to the indigenous community
  • Be comfortable working independently as well as in a team
  • Able to develop positive relationships with clients and work within a stressful environment
  • Great interpersonal communication and self-management skills

We are looking for a young and  enthusiastic first year apprentice to join our small electrical contracting business. 

We specialise in commercial and residential contracting work. Commercially the majority of our work is CBD based involving office refurbishments working on light, power, data, switchboard works, automation  and audio visual. Residentially it is Eastern and South eastern suburbs based involving new homes, extensions, renovations, light, power, data, audio visual, switchboard works, underground and overhead supplies.

 Ideal candidate is:

- 18-24 years of age (preferably under 21, but not limited to this)

-drivers license is strongly preferred

-NECA award rates

-Working week is Monday to Friday 7am – 3:30pm, with availability for some Saturdays and mid week overtime. Flexibility is looked on favorably.

-sound knowledge of basic tools and competent with ladders

-completed pre-apprenticeship course

-keen and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic

-Small company with 2 employees (Director is on the tools with another A grade).
