  • Create an environment where people and things can’t distract you. What are your distractions to study?  Can you think of ways to reduce them?
  • Break down a large project into small, manageable tasks and complete it one step at a time.
  • Set yourself a study timetable. Find the best times for you to study and keep them. Also, set a day and time for finishing tasks and use lists and planners to help meet deadlines.
  • Start earlier to give yourself extra time.
  • Ask for help if you get stuck, run out of ideas or if you are unsure of what’s required.
  • Don’t be a perfectionist. Get it on paper, or in first draft, you can add to or change it later.
  • Reward yourself when you achieve a task on time and tell yourself “Well Done!”
  • If you lack confidence, try starting with a task you enjoy. If you dread or avoid a particular task, try conquering it first.
