Create an environment where people and things can’t distract you. What are your distractions to study? Can you think of ways to reduce them?
Break down a large project into small, manageable tasks and complete it one step at a time.
Set yourself a study timetable. Find the best times for you to study and keep them. Also, set a day and time for finishing tasks and use lists and planners to help meet deadlines.
Start earlier to give yourself extra time.
Ask for help if you get stuck, run out of ideas or if you are unsure of what’s required.
Don’t be a perfectionist. Get it on paper, or in first draft, you can add to or change it later.
Reward yourself when you achieve a task on time and tell yourself “Well Done!”
If you lack confidence, try starting with a task you enjoy. If you dread or avoid a particular task, try conquering it first.
