Several weeks ago you may have seen an inappropriate post published on a StudentWeb forum by a student. The post has been removed and we’ve taken actions to resolve the issue. To avoid similar things happening in the future, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the right way to use your StudentWeb.

Box Hill Institute will investigate and take appropriate action (involving the police if necessary) against any student or staff member who posts content that:

  • is offensive, obscene, vulgar or violent;
  • threatens, incites, induces, aids, assists, promotes, causes, instructs or permits violence or self-harm;
  • encourages discrimination, harassment, victimisation or hatred towards others; and
  • would offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate others on the basis of any personal characteristic, including but not limited to: religion, colour, race, ethnicity, gender identity, marital or domestic status, sexual preference, age or any disability.

Box Hill Institute strives to maintain a safe environment for our students and staff both online and on Campus. We take this issue very seriously and we appreciate your help looking after each other.
