Assessment Summary
There are 3 assessment tasks required for this unit. The assessment tasks are each described on the following pages and should be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided for each task.
You should complete each assessment task accordingly by the due date provided and submit them in the requested format.
Hints and Tips for Assessment
- Plan in advance; don’t leave assessments until the last minute
- Ensure you understand the assessment requirements and expectations. Ask if you are not sure.
- Prepare a draft and ask a friend or family member to check or review it for you
- Proof read your work; don’t rely solely on the spell or grammar check on the computer
- Ensure you have referenced any material or ideas drawn from other sources
- If you are having difficulties with an assessment task you should speak to your teacher well before the due date.
Reasonable adjustment
Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments are applied to assessment tasks to take into account an individual learner's needs.
If you feel that you need assistance with any of the assessment tasks, please speak to your teacher about the adjustments to the assessment task and or about an alternative assessment task. Examples of adjustment may include: additional time, adjustment to equipment, oral assessment, alternative assessment or access to a scribe.
Purpose of Assessment
The assessment tasks are demonstrations of competency against the unit/s of competency. You will be assessed on:
- Presentation of the assessment tasks according to the instructions and/or specifications provided
- Presentation of the assessment tasks by the due dates
- Providing a comprehensive response to the assessment task.

How to present your work Ensure all questions have been answered prior to submitting via the prompts.
Context and conditions of assessment Skills must have been demonstrated in the workplace or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions. Where simulation is used, it must reflect real working conditions by modelling industry operating conditions and contingencies, as well as, using suitable facilities, equipment and resources.

Assessment Review If you believe that you have been assessed unfairly, you have the right to request an informal assessment review.
You can request an informal review by messaging your Assessor using the messaging icon in StudentWeb. The messaging icon is a speech bubble and is located to the left of your name on the top right hand side of StudentWeb. Alternatively, you can email the Operations Manager of your teaching area requesting an informal assessment review.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can apply for a formal review by completing and submitting the Formal Review of Assessment application form available in the StudentHub.
